In the problems so far we considered that the Krebs-Ringer solution is made up by mixing the five stock solutions in the proportions indicated. However Krebs-Ringer solution can be made up in other ways.

Using the same five stock solutions, calculate what the starting concentration of each would be so that when 10ml of each stock solution is added to 200ml of distilled water the final solution has the same composition (concentration of ions) as Krebs-Ringer solution. Express your answers in molarity.

Solution
Conc in Krebs-Ringer
Conc of stock solution (M)
NaCl
120.0 mM

KCl
4.8 mM

CaCl2
2.6 mM

MgSO4
1.2 mM

Na2HPO4
15.6 mM
